What is In Limen?
In Limen is a cultural catalyst offering participatory happenings with unique formats to a diverse, inclusive and transgenerational audience.
Co-founded by sister and brother Diane & Pierre Giraud, In Limen has received awards and support from Dra. Catarina Vaz Pinto, The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the Lisbon City Hall, EGEAC, PADA Studios and the Ministry of Culture of Portugal.

Why do we do?
Despite social media and our so-called hyperconnected societies, loneliness and social isolation are the plague of our times. A sense of belonging and connnectedness are fundamental human needs and we believe art and conversation are powerful vehicle to foster these needs.

What we do.
Triggering wonder, creating meaningful interactions and connectedness, one In Limen experience at a time.

How do we do it?
We create art experiences dealing with contemporary human and more-than-human issues at the intersection of art, philosophy and science. These experiences are structured around 2 acts:
Act 1: Art experience (from 20 minutes to 1 hour) - to open our guests emotionally
Act 2: Conversation (from 20 minutes to one hour) - facilitated by our trademark playful protocol
Our mission is to create social impact by offering In Limen experiences to the general public and organizations, to promote mental wellness, to democratize the access to culture and to support diversity and inclusion in particular towards underrepresented groups.
